About the AK-47 Wall Art Print:
The artwork features Monarch butterflies (Danaus Plexippus), which Bran meticulously embellished on the original AK-47 sculpture art piece, some butterflies were preserved and dating back to 1956.
The Monarch butterfly, highly revered in Mexico, undertakes a remarkable migration along the west coast of America, covering over 3,000 miles to return to the same regions in Mexico each year. Historically, the Maya people believed these butterflies were the returning souls of the dead, adding a profound cultural significance to their journey.
Bullet Fillings:
Clear Bullets are handmade in England and modelled from an AK-47 - 7.62mm round.
- Milkweed Seeds: Representing the Monarch butterfly's sole food source, which is now endangered due to pesticide use, highlighting the delicate balance of ecosystems.
- Razor Blade: Symbolizing the harsh realities of society and its connection to the cutting of cocaine, reflecting the dark side of substance abuse.
- Champagne & Stars: Evoking the concept of a "champagne supernova," symbolizing the extravagant lifestyle and inflated ego associated with drug culture.
- Blood: (Fake) Symbolic of the countless lives lost and the bloodshed associated with the drug trade.
- Copal: Tree sap traditionally burned during Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico, symbolizing remembrance and cultural rituals.
- Pesos & Dollars: Intertwined to represent the immense profits from the drug industry and the ensuing corruption that spans borders.
- Cocaine: Directly representing the central substance in the context of the artwork, highlighting its impact.
- Tree Bark: Symbolizing environmental damage from the cocaine production process, where toxic acids are flushed into local rivers and forests, causing widespread ecological harm.

All prints undergo quality control and are shipped using a secure courier service.
We take great care in packaging all of our art prints to ensure they are not damaged during transit. However, accidents can happen due to environmental conditions. If your print arrives damaged, please send it back to the original address for a full refund or replacement. When you place an order with us, we use the Royal Mail Tracked and Signed courier service. You will receive a tracking number that allows you to track your shipment online and be prepared for its arrival. If you have not received your print within 30 days, please contact our team immediately, and they will help track it down.
Product Details
We take quality control seriously. Each print is personally signed and checked by Bran, who ensures the paper and printing quality. We use a special archival paper that is durable, acid-free, and intended to last a lifetime. Before leaving the studio, each print is checked by Bran, which can sometimes cause a slight delay in shipment, however it's a matter of days and worth the wait!
Your print will arrive in a sturdy postal tube made from 65gsm spiral wound board with a plastic end cap, perfect for transit.
