'Change' AK-47 | Wall-Mount

Bran Symondon’s striking piece 'Change' is a bold statement on transformation and the dualities of destruction and renewal.

This unique artwork features a real AK-47 embellished with vibrant butterflies and delicate origami butterflies made from American dollar bills, symbolizing the complex relationship between power, beauty, and wealth.

A bayonet fixed to the end of the rifle adds a stark contrast to the fragility of the butterflies.

The clear, handmade bullets modelled after AK-47 7.62 rounds each hold a powerful message, filled with symbolic materials: blood representing the cost of change, gold for prosperity, cherry blossoms for renewal and fleeting beauty, coral for resilience, amethyst for spiritual healing, honey for the sweetness of life, and plastic as a reflection on modern consumption.
