Title: Reimagining History: Darine Stern 1971 - Embellished Playboy Chair

Description:

Inspired by a pivotal moment in history, Bran's latest art piece delves into the cultural impact of the Vietnam War era and the surprising role Playboy magazine played in boosting morale. During his research, Bran discovered the iconic 1971 Playboy edition featuring Darine Stern, the first Black woman to grace the magazine's cover. The edition also coincided with Bran's birth year.

To honour this monumental event, Bran embarked on a journey to recreate and reinterpret this historic cover. He meticulously designed and crafted the Playboy chair, a central element from the original 1971 photoshoot. This chair, now a unique art piece, has been embellished with real butterflies, symbolizing transformation and the beauty of change.

The recreated cover features a modern-day model, posed in homage to Darine Stern, bringing the past into the present. This blend of history and contemporary art not only celebrates Darine Stern's legacy but also offers a fresh narrative on cultural evolution and representation.

For the first time, Bran has decided to release this unique chair from his private collection. This one-of-a-kind art piece, along with the recreated cover art, stands as a testament to historical progress and artistic innovation. Art enthusiasts and collectors now have the rare opportunity to own a piece that bridges past and present, celebrating both the original milestone and Bran's creative vision.

Additionally, the buyer will receive a print of the recreated cover, making this acquisition even more special and extraordinary.
