While touring with special forces in Afghanistan, Bran was inspired by Afghan soldiers and the Afghan National Police who decorated their AK-47s with flowers and stickers. This led him to give the most iconic and destructive weapon in the world a new identity, disarming it in a way. Bran sees these weapons as blank canvases and transforms them from symbols of fear and loathing to objects of beauty and intrigue. He takes AK-47s from conflict zones and creates handmade, clear bullets filled with symbolic elements to tell a story through his art.
